Who I am

    It is great to have the opportunity to share a little bit about myself. My name is Kimberly Middlebrook.( Kim )

   I was born and raised in Connecticut and at a very young age I became aware of the healing benefits, and spiritual connection that our pets can provide for us.At times,in my childhood, when I was feeling low or just needed to talk , my pets would listen to me diligently, and without a word, they would give me a gentle, kind look of understanding as if to say, "we are here for you and we love you unconditionally."

  It was my childhood dream to enter a profession where I could be with my much loved animal companions. Instead I completed an Associates degree in Nutrition, and in 1988 moved to Tennessee  where I spent the next nine years working as a Dietary Manager.

  I am currently three courses away from completing my Bachelors degree in Psychology and plan to pursue my Masters degree in the near future.

   One bright, sunny afternoon  in April of 1997,when I was thumbing through a Cat Fancy magazine, and contemplating a career change, I saw an ad for a book titled Pet Sitting for Profit. The author of the book is Pattie Moran,  director of Pet Sitters International. I bought the book,read it through a few times,and in June of 1997, was on my way to fullfilling my childhood dream.Home Comfort Pet Sitting Service was created and has flourished over the past fourteen years.
